Kuth umi, also called Koot Humi, is at the present time the Head of the planetary Hierarchy, which includes the Older Brothers of humanity and all those who have overcome the limitations of the form. The Hierarchy, the heart center of the planet, has always been guiding humanity. Those who have chosen to collaborate with the purpose of Sanat Kumara and to help Him in his task, have always carried us forward with Their Light and Love.

The Christ is the Head of the Hierarchy; He is the Boddisattva, the World Teacher. It is the name of the office which was occupied by the Lord Maitreya, Who is known in the occident as the Christ. Maitreya was the first born of Sanat Kumara, Koot Humi is the second.

Maitreya came on earth more than two thousand years ago by overshadowing His Disciple Jesus. That is how He has been able to transmit His message. This message concerned all the human beings; it was a message of love.

Maitreya has been called for another higher work and Koot Humi took His place. Koot Humi was for a long time the head of the department of the second Ray, the Ray of Love-wisdom, connected with education and religion.

People who are waiting for the return of the Christ and who are seeking after the same kind of manifestation may not recognize Koot Humi. Even if they have strong common points, their manifestations and theirs effects will be very different.

Their approach and their mission are different because the situation is urgent and the planetary conditions are very different than 2000 years ago. To accomplish His mission, He brings a new triple energy, the energy of the 2d, the 1st and the 7th Ray. Here lies the main difference with the precedent Instructor Maitreya, who was on the line 2 and 6.

Maitreya was more on the line of the Rays 2, 4 and 6 (the mystic line). Koot Humi is more on the line 1, 3, 5 and 7 (the occult line). Thereby, Maitreya was more a mystic when Koot humi is an occultist, a scientific and a white magician. As well as Maitreya, Koot Humi comes to teach humanity, but He also comes to command human affairs. Koot Humi will be more powerful and more involved in the concrete affairs of the world. Rays 1 and 7 are Rays of power and it is their combination which will give Him the possibility to lead things in another way.
